Creative PIE / Pie and MATCH October 2012

As part of the Creative PIE conference I was asked to collaborate with Changing Cultures to facilitate and create the technology behind the creative networking aspect of the conference.

Pie and MATCH was a creative networking / dating website whereby delegates would upload an image and answer some questions relating to their practice. As more people answered the site filled with potential networking opportunities  Searching by values, name or art form logged in users were able to request to match with others that took their fancy.

Matches were then automatically and manually created.

On the day of the conference delegates were given details of their match along with a prop such as flower or bow tie and given a factious location and time to meet.

As matches were made a data visualisation I created was projected into the foyer that showed the connections made. Throughout the day this grew to show all of the matches and to represent the creative networking that had grown over the conference.
