People vs The Machines November 2012

People vs The Machines November 2012

I was invited to participate in an event as part of Wolverhamptons successful digital/arts Flip Festival.

I assumed the role of machine; my task to live code generative and generated art inspired by my surroundings and the fight between nature and machines. No pre code – no copy and paste – my console was projected so that visitors could see me code and the results live. Throughout the 3 hour process i was joined by 2 other digital artists and also 2 graphic illustrators who used canvas. Live electronic band Silhouettes performed and punters drank Red Stripe, enjoyed the beats and the atmosphere was truly inspiring. Hosted by Fixxion, a warehouse project located at the rear of a multi storey car park it gave me a sense of artistic freedom in which recent projects havent been able to fulfill.
